This forest preserve boasts nearly 2,000 acres and offers paved and unpaved trails through wonderful wetlands, upland forests and prairie. It is a known birding hotspot.

There are several accessible parking spots and an accessible portable toilet. Picnic grove nos. 4 and 5 are accessible May 1-October 31 and may be reserved online here.
