More than 3 miles of unpaved trails radiate from the nature center located in Barrington Hills, Illinois. The site contains over 1,000 acres of rolling, glacier-formed landscape that includes woodlands, wetlands and prairies. Children will delight in the nature center and the outdoor bird displays.

The Forest Preserve District of Cook County began restoring the site to its natural state in the 1960s. Many acres of prairie have been restored.
